Ok. I'm bummed. My nearly new 30GB iPod has 'lost' about 800 tracks. When I try to play them in iTunes, an exclamation mark ( ! ) shows up in the far left-hand column. All the tracks are still listed, they just won't play.
Oh, and then there's the issue of my iTunes telling me I'm only using 4.29GB of my iPod - that can't be right.
Any ideas, fellow VOXers? I'd hate to have to start hating on Apple. And I'm loathe to format my little black beauty - uploading all those tunes with take more time than I have left.

Well, it does appear to be the all-singing-all-dancing, but it has its shortcomings.
Not least of which is the fact that it doesn't look like it'll run Firefox.
And it's not 3G. Um, not 3G? C'mon Steve.
Feeling, like Apple's iPhone deserves a little more investigation,
P.S. This guy has the lowdown. He even bought an extra one...and ended up gutting it.
I'm a little stretched at the moment, yet I couldn't help wonder just how Apple will respond to the latest announcement that iPods might interfere with regular pacemaker functioning.
Wonder if they knew about it?
Isn't there some sort of FDA approval system for electronic goods?
And what do you fix first? The iPods or the pacemakers?
Feeling, a tad uninformed,
This is something worth watching.
Made me think of three things:
1)
2)
3) "If you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face - forever." George Orwell
Feeling, like it might be worth some debate, if you're keen
It doesn't matter what. Help someone, make something, think out loud, learn a skill, draw something you've never drawn before. I don't care if you draw badly - sometimes drawing badly can look really good.
Do it or one day you will be too old and you will say
"You can't teach an old dog new tricks."
but inside you will be thinking,
"I told me so."
I wish I'd done this:
And I wish I felt less like this:
Feeling, like I can't leave my life to the last minute and neither can you, so what are we going to do about it?
I'm warning you. Ask a ninja. Ask it anything.
Feeling, like I'm being watched (and you should be too)
Ok. Watch Steve Ballmer. Then watch Steve Jobs. Then understand why the Zune will never kill the iPod and Microsoft will always suck Apple's balls.
Feeling, iNvigorated,
Ok. Before we get to the iPhone, I want to point something out. I'm not sure how he did it, but a very smart Austrian called Thomas Marban created POPURLS.COM and I couldn't be much happier about it. This is the ultimate webwatcher, in my opinion, and I'll be posting more about it as soon as I catch my breath after watching Steve Jobs wax lyrical over the phone I've been waiting for for a long time. Hula Girl has a fantastic post on it (thanks to the very talented Hula Girl!) so go get yourself up to speed. I just wonder what the second generation iPhone will be capable of.
Don't know about you, but I'm pleased to see Apple (who have just released another surprise) were smart enough to take advantage of the touchscreen tech first introduced by Jeff Han at the TED talks.
Feeling, blogmatic,
P.S. It says here on Wikipedia that the iPhone only has a 2 megapixel camera. For the record, I think that's lame, but Apple obviously plans to release sweeter cameras in the models to follow. At least I hope they do.
P.P.S. See all the rumours and the hype the iPhone kicked up over the last few months.
