Google's RSS reader is nice. I know it belongs to big brother, but at least try it out. Its neat, not fancy.
Mozilla add on that works nicely with this excellent RSS reader - Google Reader Notifier (sits nicely in your status bar at the bottom and tells you when somethings up)
